Keyword Power Tools

The Yahoo and Google Keyword tools are helpful for getting started with keyword research. They offer the basic functionality that you need to build a good keyword list; however, they lack some of the advanced features that other keyword tools offer.

In addition to Yahoo and Google's free keyword tools I use WordTracker and KeywordDiscovery. Most Internet Marketing experts I have talked to use one or the other, but I personally use both so that I can find as many keywords as possible and compare the traffic between both.

Both keyword tools offer a free no-risk trial, so I recommend you try both, and see which one works best for you.
