Remove the Frame

One rather annoying thing about Ask Jeeves is that when you click through to a specific Web page (from the search results page), Ask Jeeves surrounds the outside page with a proprietary frame, complete with banner advertisement. Not only does this take up valuable space on your computer desktop, but it also prohibits you from bookmarking the target page—or even seeing that page's real URL!

If you're going to use Ask Jeeves for serious researching, the first thing you want to do is get rid of this irritating Ask Jeeves frame. There are two ways to do this.

The easiest way to get rid of the frame, if this option is available (it isn't always), is to click the Remove Frames link located below the framed ad. The second method is to right-click within the target page's frame and select Open Frame in New Window from the pop-up menu.
